More sez cleared |
The government today cleared 29 proposals for setting up SEZs in the country. The board of approval at its meeting here gave formal approval to 23 SEZs and an in-principle nod to six other projects. A total of 34 SEZ proposals were taken up by the board chaired by commerce secretary Gopal Pillai. Of the 23 formal approvals, 17 were for IT and ITeS zones in Kerela, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka.
